Spring Scope-Out: Big 12 baseball led by strength in Bloomington-Normal

The Big 12 is ready for another baseball season after Normal Community and Richwoods won regional titles last year.


The Ironmen earned preseason honors from Prep Baseball Illinois and boast one of the strongest pitching staffs anywhere in the land. Bloomington and Normal West bring more strength to the Twin Cities in baseball as the Purple Raiders have a deep lineup and pitching staff and the Wildcats return three all-conference first team players. 


Below, we take a look at the top returners, breakout candidates, and games to watch for each team in the Big 12 Conference. Schools are listed alphabetically.
