Clutch Sports Media, LLC is proud to announce the founding of a new division of the company in Rockford, IL – Clutch Sports Media 815 – prior to the start of the 2022-23 IHSA sports season.
CSM is a Peoria, IL-based high school sports coverage platform that has provided free, high-quality live broadcast and social media coverage throughout Central Illinois since the fall of 2019.
Clutch will provide live audio broadcasts and social media coverage of area high school sporting events, starting with week one of IHSA football next week.
Rockford native, Bradley University grad and Jefferson High School teacher Zach Larson will lead the startup in conjunction with company co-founders and fellow BU alums Larry Larson, a Belvidere native, and Joey Wright.
“I’m so excited to grow the brand Larry and Joey started in Peoria, it was apparent from the first time I worked with them it was something I wanted to be a part of. Rockford is the perfect market to make this next step for CSM,” Zach Larson said.
Founded by Larson and Wright, CSM’s influence grew rapidly in 2021-22. The company streamed the Washington Tournament of Champions and 128-game State Farm Holiday Classic, two widely recognized holiday basketball tournaments, in addition to many high-profile rivalry matchups and IHSA Playoff events.
“The Rockford area is filled with talented athletes, rich tradition and passionate fanbases,” Larry Larson said. “We can’t wait for CSM to become a part of that tradition.”
CSM’s foremost goal is to serve the Rockford community with high-quality coverage of the area’s best games, schools and athletes, but also to help area students develop experience in the sports media field.
