Girls basketball power rankings Jan. 23, 2024: Margins tighten after multiple key contests

The postseason is not all that far away in IHSA girls basketball and most teams have just a few conference games, plus a non-conference contest or two left on the schedule. 

Last week in girls hoops around Peoria and Bloomington/Normal provided an top-notch slate of games, including Peoria Notre Dame taking on both Peoria High and Lincoln, Richwoods hosting Class 4A No. 1 Loyola Academy, and the semifinals and championship of the Heart of Illinois Conference tournament.
