IHSA Girls Track and Field State Preview 2025: Central Illinois athletes, teams, relays and events to watch

The blue oval is beckoning as the IHSA State Finals in girls track are set to kick off at Eastern Illinois University from May 22-24.
The Central Illinois area features over 100 athletes that will compete on the state’s biggest stage after showcasing the region’s talent throughout the regular season. The event begins with the Class 1A prelims on May 22, the Class 2A and 3A prelims on May 23 and the finals for all three classes on May 24.
Below, we preview the area competitors in each class, including the teams, athletes and relays most likely to win a state title, sleepers to watch out for, athletes competing in multiple events and events carrying notable local flavor.
