Last season, Heyworth gave itself plenty of good momentum by breaking a nine-year playoff drought and making the postseason for just the seventh time in program history.
The Hornets, who finished 7-3, were led by Nate Albaugh, who then resigned to pursue a different career opportunity. A coaching change can often feel like a hindrance to momentum, but not in this case.
