2024 Girls Basketball Preview: Illini Bluffs looks to re-tool one year removed from state championship game

It wasn’t long ago when Illini Bluffs was competing in the Class 1A state championship game. Now eight months removed from earning state runner-ups and the best season in program history, a lot has changed in the program.


Gone are the days of Lily Luczkowiak and Annabelle Fortin, who both graduated from Illini Bluffs last year along with four other seniors. The Tigers will now have to rely on senior guard Brenna Davis and junior forwards Chloe Eeten and Annabelle Reimer to lead a group who is relatively inexperienced on the varsity level. It's a retooling year for Illini Bluffs, but don’t be shocked if it still makes noise in 2024-25.
