PEKIN — The Pekin Dragons enter the 2025 season with plenty of momentum.
Head coach Doug Nutter’s squad returns its starting quarterback, starting running back and top wide receiver from a year ago.
Sound familiar?
On paper, the Dragons have a few similarities to their historic 2022 team led by Scott Jordan, Kanye Tyler and Bo Benassi. That team had the winningest season in program history and nearly tasted a Class 7A state semifinal berth.
However, this year’s Pekin team is poised to make their own mark.
