2026 Football Preview: Strong junior class reason for optimism at Richwoods

PEORIA — The expectations don’t change much from year to year for Jim Ulrich.

Richwoods’ football coach always expects the Knights to be competitive in the Big 12 Conference. That won’t change this fall, with the Knights eager to return to the IHSA postseason for the first time since 2017.

"The expectations are always the same," Ulrich said. "To go out there and compete and win some games."

A strong junior class is reason enough to believe the Knights will achieve that goal, in Ulrich’s estimation.
