2026 Soccer Preview: Olympia eyes improvement as team’s size, soccer IQ grows

STANFORD — Olympia boys soccer team won just two games last fall, but are eyeing an improved season and are trending upward as a program.
A school of under 500 students that also fields a football team during the fall, Olympia’s soccer program has grown from 11 players several years ago to 18 this year, with many of the Spartans’ up-and-comers having previous soccer experience.
A senior class consisting of three players, a junior transfer with a plethora of skills and leadership, and a freshman class that is prepared for varsity, have the Spartans preparing to be competitive against every team that they play.
