2026 Volleyball Preview: Front row strength propelling Farmington in Monroe’s second season

FARMINGTON — Farmington volleyball is ready to see results in 2026 after its previous season didn’t always show how close the Farmers were to several of the top small-school teams in the area.

The Farmers are tasked with replacing four starters from 2025, but have a larger senior class in head coach Ashley Monroe’s second season. That group is led by returning starters that include middle Lynsey Shriber, setter Kaitlynn McGee and outside hitter Korynn Barton and has increased its chemistry over the offseason. 

A different summer workout program has yielded strong results so far for the Farmers, who competed against strong opponents in the ICC Summer League and will look to rise into the top half of the Prairieland Conference. A front row that is led by Shriber, Barton and Sydney Nannen will look to set the tone on both sides of the ball.
