2026 Volleyball Preview: Strong hitting depth leads Washington in pursuit of deep playoff run

WASHINGTON – After two consecutive seasons of 20 or more wins and a deep playoff run last year, Washington volleyball has made it clear that it is ready to progress even further.
The Panthers made the 2025 Class 3A super-sectionals after winning their first sectional title since 2003 and upsetting conference rival Limestone along the way, eventually losing one game shy of a state berth.
With big-name varsity stars such as Carly Dawson and Josie O’Brien lining up at the net for Washington, along with some exciting potential breakout stars in their ranks, the Panthers have used the offseason wisely to prepare for every aspect on the court.
