BOURBONNAIS, ILL – A pair of 20-plus win boys basketball teams in the area from a year ago competed in a shootout hosted by Olivet Nazarene University on Saturday.

Brimfield and Tremont ascended eastward to the university, where they both competed on three adjacent purple courts that saw plenty of action throughout the day. Both squads played stiff competition, having success and growth that will only make them better for the winter season.

Experience and transfers lift Brimfield’s expectations

The Indians came into Saturday with a chance to repeat as undefeated champions of the shootout, a feat they were a game away from doing for the second consecutive year.
