Freshmen trio leads Dunlap to regional final against Galesburg

Dunlap girl’s basketball (20-12, 7-7 Mid-Illini) advanced to the Richwoods regional final after their 63-53 win at Richwoods (16-12, 8-2 Big Twelve) on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles were once again powered by their “Big Three” of freshmen Keyaira Haywood, Keniya Todd and Amiyah Gulley. The young trio combined for 72 points in the first meeting against Richwoods, a 77-60 win. This time they combined for 56 of the offensive output.
Head coach Becky Fulkerson was confident in her group’s first playoff appearance.
