Walking into the Peoria High School gym can sometimes feel like walking into a museum.
History of numerous Lions athletic standouts throughout the years emanates from the walls, which boast large portraits of state championship-winning basketball teams from 1908, 1977, 2003, 2004 and 2012. Many more accomplishments from the second-oldest continually running high school in the nation that’s east of the Allegheny Mountains adorn the Lions’s Den.
