There are few things in sports more exciting than Rivalries. In College football, there’s Ohio State vs. Michigan. In the NFL, there’s the Bears vs. Packers. In Peoria high school football, it is Richwoods vs. Peoria Notre Dame.
The two schools have competed against each other for decades and are separated by a little more than a mile.
“We are very close to each other, we share students, and a lot of the kids go to grade school together,” Peoria Notre Dame head coach Pat Armstrong said. “There’s a lot of intrapersonal rivalries between the kids, and of course, we’re just two close schools.”
