Six Central Illinois boys basketball teams with the most to look forward to next year

The final week of the IHSA boys basketball season has arrived and all but 16 teams across the state have ended their season. Richwoods (Class 3A) and Normal Community (Class 4A) will look to earn their first state titles in program history at the State Farm Center in Champaign on Friday and Saturday, with the rest of Central Illinois watching. 


Even though the final games of the year are near, it never hurts to take a sneak peek at next season. With plenty of talented juniors and underclassmen returning, basketball in Central Illinois will maintain the high level play that it has carried for years. 


While this list is not exhaustive, here are six boys basketball teams in the area that are anticipating big things for next season.
