The Roundup, Aug. 26, 2024: Twin Cities schools shine on opening night of volleyball and soccer

Schools from Bloomington-Normal flexed their muscles on the first night of volleyball and soccer games across the state, led by an impressive victory from Normal West soccer and a pair of victories from Normal U-High. 

Washington and Morton were among other winners in volleyball and Olympia girls swimming kicked off their season as well. Multiple events in boys soccer and boys/girls golf were either canceled or postponed due to high heat and humidity in the area.
