Thursday was a good night for Class 2A girls basketball teams in the area with Peoria Notre Dame, Canton and Eureka all defeating formidable foes. Bloomington and Manual moved to 2-0 in Big 12 play while Brimfield, Illini Bluffs and Tri-Valley all won big.
Tremont and IVC were the lone boys teams in action and suffered opposite fates.
