An action-packed Thursday of prep basketball was headlined by upsets, close wins and records being honored and made.
Normal Community scored a crucial Big 12 win over Manual while Eureka’s Cohen Alstat had a game for the ages in the Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament. Dee-Mack’s boys and Eureka’s girls teams pulled upsets in the tournaments as well and Brimfield girls defended home court on a night where the program was honored for its 1,000 all-time victories.
In wrestling, El Paso-Gridley and Farmington both were winners.
