The Roundup, Jan. 3, 2024: Manual gets revenge on Peoria, Mid-Illini girls powers roll

A high-quality slate of 11 games on Friday featured some of the best hoops and teams that Central Illinois has to offer, with Manual earning a hard-fought victory over Peoria in the night’s headliner. 

Peoria Notre Dame and Peoria Christian boys hoops matched up in a battle of private schools while a trio of Mid-Illini girls squads, including Morton and Washington, both won in non-conference tilts. Brimfield and Eureka boys plus Fieldcrest girls all picked up wins in good under-the-radar contests.
