Another big Saturday in Central Illinois high school sports was highlighted by the Illinois Top Times track and field meet, the de facto state meet for indoor track and field. Athletes from Metamora, Washington, Morton, Limestone, Normal Community, Normal West, and Normal U-High won titles.
Nearly every baseball team in the area played at least one game with Canton, Eureka, Tremont, Heyworth and Brimfield/Elmwood winning doubleheaders. In softball, Metamora, Pekin and Delavan won key games.
PND faced off with Glenwood as the marquee girls soccer match of the day and several other teams grabbed wins, plus tennis and lacrosse were also active.
