Girls track and field took its last lap of the 2026 season on Saturday with the state finals wrapping up in Charleston. Bloomington’s Claudia Ifft won a Class 3A state title in pole vault while Normal U-High and Eureka were among the area’s top team finishers.
Three Central Illinois boys tennis teams won sectional titles as over two dozen players combined between singles and doubles battled out for their placement heading into state next week. The baseball regular season came to a close with wins by several Mid-Illini teams and Peoria Christian leading the way and Tremont softball battled hard in its regional championship game.
