State competitions kicked off in boys track and field and tennis on Thursday with Bloomington Central Catholic leading several area teams with multiple finalists in track and field and Dunlap and Metamora both having strong days to kick off state tennis.
Normal West baseball fell in a pitcher’s duel, ending the Wildcats’ bid for a regional title.
