The Roundup, May 4, 2026: Peoria Christian baseball, Dee-Mack softball win on walk-offs, conference play returns, Eureka wins HOIC in girls track and field

Conference races continued to chug along on Monday with several Mid-Illini baseball matchups taking precedence.
Dunlap and East Peoria won key games while Metamora stayed hot and Pekin broke a long losing skid. Tremont clinched the outright Heart of Illinois Conference crown in baseball and Peoria Christian and Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn won on walk-offs.
East Peoria softball won a key Mid-Illini tilt while Dee-Mack, Heyworth, Illini Bluffs and Normal U-High were several other teams to impress on Monday. Normal U-High won the Intercity crown in girls soccer and Eureka led the way at the Heart of Illinois Conference Meet in girls track to round out the day’s headliners.
