The postseason is right around the corner and Tuesday’s slate of high school sports action in Central Illinois was an indicator with some of the final few regular season games taking place for some schools, as well as the Mid-Illini and Heart of Illinois Conference meets in boys track.
Morton had a banner night, clinching Mid-Illini titles in girls soccer and boys track while Eureka won the HOIC in track as well. The Mid-Illini featured a good slate of games in softball while Tremont also clinched a conference title with a big win and a Normal West pitcher threw a perfect game. Richwoods, Illini Bluffs and Morton were among notable winners in baseball on Tuesday.
