The Roundup, Nov. 22, 2025: EPG football suffers heartbreak, PND, Dee-Mack, Illini Bluffs, Manual win tournament titles

Saturday’s slate of high school sports in Central Illinois had many close girls basketball games, several blowout wins and some nice hardware for some of the best area teams at Thanksgiving tournaments around the area.

El-Paso Gridley traveled to Wilmington for a chance to play in the 2A football state final, but they were stopped by a commanding performance from their opponent. In girls basketball, Peoria Notre Dame, Dee-Mack, Manual and Illini Bluffs took home first place in their respective tournaments and well over a dozen area players earned all-tournament honors. IVC competed in a thrilling final and Washington and Morton picked up big regular season wins.
