The Roundup, Sept. 12, 2026: Washington, Midland, EPG win volleyball tournaments, Eureka girls lead at First to Finish
Saturday was a busy day for a lot of teams in Central Illinois, including in volleyball, where Washington and Eureka had dominant performances in the Williamsville Invitational, El Paso-Gridley defeated Olympia for the Clinton Tournament title and Midland won its home invitational.
Dunlap found themselves in the win column in soccer after a brace from one of their top players and Bloomington pulled off a last-minute victory to claim their seventh win of the year.
Peoria was a hot spot for the best cross country athletes in Illinois, as the First to the Finish Invitational hosted races for all three classes, including a Class 1A race that the Eureka girls placed first in. Plenty of great flag football, golf and swimming results came with this weekend’s action, too.
