Normal West and Pekin eked out down-to-the-wire, bounce-back wins while El Paso-Gridley and Princeville also won in one-score games to highlight Week 5’s football action across Central Illinois.
Dunlap, Washington and Metamora all posted hefty Mid-Illini wins while Eureka, Dee-Mack and many others did the same. Teams that moved to 5-0 and clinched playoff eligibility were Dunlap, Bloomington, Farmington, El Paso-Gridley and Bloomington Central Catholic.
