Offenses were held in check for the most part on Friday night as gusty winds made it tough to pass, kick or punt.
Week five’s slate of football action saw multiple teams win via shutouts, including Farmington over rival Elmwood/Brimfield and other teams getting shut out. Normal West, Pekin and Peoria Notre Dame all picked up one score runs and Bloomington Central Catholic got back on track against Tolono Unity.
Teams that won to move to 5-0 and clinched playoff eligibility were Bloomington, Farmington, Princeville and Eureka.
