A new high school football season allows the chance for many new players to shine but several of Central Illinois’ top names to watch have already proven that they can do so on Friday nights.
While many of those players will be seniors, the sophomore and junior classes in the area are also rich with talent.
Clutch Sports Media’s “They’re Up Next” series will highlight several athletes to watch in each upcoming fall sport who are juniors or younger for the 2025-26 season and could be household names by the time their high school careers are over.
With the first games of the season less than two months away, below are 12 football players in the area who have already made an impact, but are just getting started.
