Small school basketball had the floor on Wednesday, Dec. 20th. Action continued for both boys and girls teams at the “Hey-Hi” Heyworth Holiday tournament. Olympia was in action on the boys side while Eureka and Brimfield on the girls. A state-ranked non-conference matchup went down as Dee-Mack and Peoria Heights squared off.

Mid-Illini teams returned to conference play, highlighted by lopsided wins on the boys’ side. Manual handled crosstown rival Peoria in boys’ hoops, while Washington edged Dunlap on the girls side in what was arguably the game of the night.
