IVC baseball has been a staple in the realm of perennially competitive teams in the Peoria area. This year, the Grey Ghosts are hoping to break through and win their first regional title since 2022 and second since 2012.

Helping the cause are six of IVC’s top hitters from last season returning alongside a core of pitchers that haven’t seen a lot of varsity innings, but have still been impressive in small sample sizes.

Second-team all-Illini Prairie selections Cole Yates and Griffin Landsverk and honorable mention catcher Brynden Coventry are all talented enough to play at the next level and give the Grey Ghosts plenty of familiarity. Even in a highly-competitive conference, IVC hopes to prove it deserves a seat at the table of title contenders.
