2026 Soccer Preview: BCC banking on big senior group

BLOOMINGTON — The tide is shifting in the Bloomington Central Catholic soccer program heading into Tristan Alvarez’s third year as the head coach.
The Saints have more than tripled the amount of players in their program since he took over and the number of seniors has jumped from one last year to 13 this fall. BCC is hoping that an array of three-year, and even several four-year starters can result in more wins and a deeper run into the playoffs in 2026.
10 of BCC’s starters return, which is a strong starting point for the season. But the Saints are keeping humility at the forefront of their minds and are making it a point not to get too far ahead of themselves in the face of their having such an experienced group.
