2026 Volleyball Preview: Limestone comes back strong with fire lit under it

BARTONVILLE — Limestone volleyball is looking to repeat its regular season success, but this year, the Rockets want to finish the job and take it all the way home.
The Rockets have won 25 or more games in four consecutive seasons with 32 or more wins in the last two including a stellar 34-3 record last season. Limestone’s bid for a second straight state berth, however, came up short with a loss to Mid-Illini Conference foe Washington in the Class 3A regional finals. With five of its six starters returning, the Rockets’ experienced, winning team is focused and driven to deliver yet again.
Mia Lamberti, the 2025 Clutch Sports Media Volleyball Player of the Year, and other high-level players in Bryn Williamson and Brylee Sprout headline the Rockets with starpower. But Limestone has several other players that will make impacts as the season goes along with depth at every position and in every class.
