2026 Volleyball Preview: Tremont out to provide Cinderella run was no fluke

TREMONT — After getting a taste of state volleyball last season, the Tremont Turks fully intend to use that experience to their advantage.


Tremont finished the 2025 season on a heater, winning six straight playoff matches to reach the Class 1A state finals. After besting Orion in the Abingdon-Avon sectional championship, the Turks knocked off the 35-5 Hartsburg-Emden Stags to advance to the Class 1A semifinal, where they fell to Cissna Park and went on to finish fourth in the state.


Luckily for Tremont, most of last year’s team is back to try and make another run at state. With only four seniors on last year’s squad and just three this year, the team fully intends to use its youth, but also state experience, to its benefit in 2026.
