Bloomington’s seasoned veterans paving way for Purple Raiders to flourish

Seniors are a key component to the success of every high school football team. Have lots of them, and you’ll go far. If they’re multi-year starters, even better.
Seniors and experience have played a big role in Bloomington football’s resurgence over the last year. Twelve sophomores were starting for the Purple Raiders by the end of the 2022 season, a year where they fell short of the playoffs and went 3-6.
Now, those sophomores, including quarterback AJ Codron and linebacker Mikey Kimmell, are seniors and can say they’ve led Bloomington to the postseason with a chance to do it again.
