After a one-week hiatus due to many of the top teams not playing thanks to Opening Round byes, the Clutch Sports Media football power rankings are back heading into the second round of the postseason.

Eight teams in the CSM coverage area advanced to the second round, which is the third week of the playoffs since the new “Opening Round” precedes the “first round”. Morton, Tri-Valley, El Paso-Gridley, Normal West and Pekin flew to victories last weekend while Heyworth, Metamora and Normal Community scratched and clawed their way to close wins.

Six of those squads will host postseason games on either Friday or Saturday this weekend as Pekin (at Normal West) and Metamora (at Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin) are the only teams that will hit the road.

Check out how the top five large school and top five small school teams in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area stack up in this week’s CSM Power Rankings below. Teams in the Mid-Illini and Big 12 are part of the large school rankings while every other team in the area is part of the small school rankings.
