CSM Pick 'Em: Week 8, 2026
Conference titles may not be completely decided in Week 8, but this week’s contests will go a long way in determining who comes out on top.
Morton and Pekin, the last two teams undefeated in Mid-Illini Conference play, battle in Pekin as both teams have relied high-flying offenses and stout defenses to win six straight.
El Paso-Gridley has flown through the regular season and faces Warrensburg-Latham, who is also undefeated in Heart of Central Illinois Large Conference play on the road. In another key small-school matchup, 6-1 Olympia takes on 7-0 Maroa-Forsyth in a game that will have a big say in determining the Sangamo Conference champion.
Several other games will have big playoff implications for teams still looking to clinch a postseason spot, including East Peoria at Washington, Elmwood/Brimfield at West Hancock and Princeville at ROWVA/Williamsfield.
Clutch Sports Media will be providing free live broadcasts of Morton at Pekin, along with East Peoria at Washington on centralillinoisproud.com/games/ and the WMBD+ app. Kickoff for both games is at 7:30 with pregame coverages starting at approximately 7:15.
Six CSM staff members have made their picks for 10 of the top games around the area this week. Broadcasters for our broadcasted games are ineligible to pick the winner of the game they are calling and will pick an 11th game instead.
