Farmington returns, Dunlap rises in Illinois media rankings
The Illinois media state football rankings heading into Week 4 feature 11 teams from the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area, matching the total from last week.
No area teams entered or dropped out of the rankings entirely, but Dunlap and Farmington registered higher spots than their previous placements after key wins last week.
The Eagles defeated Metamora 30-26 in a see-saw affair while Farmington won a bout against formerly state-ranked Annawan/Wethersfield 40-21.
The Illinois media rankings, formerly the AP rankings, are compiled via a panel of media members from across the state.
