Making his mark: Orris sets Dunlap’s goal record while kicking towards bigger goals
DUNLAP – There’s a new name at the top in the Dunlap boys soccer record books.
In a conference game against Metamora on Sept. 7, Eagles senior Jackson Orris notched his third goal of the game to give his team a four-goal lead and an eventual 7-2 win. However, it was not just another goal.
It was his 79th career goal, which vaulted Orris into the top spot on the all-time goals scored list for Dunlap’s boys soccer program.
Becoming the leading goal scorer is an incredible feat in itself, but for Orris, the record meant even more because of the people around him.
