Morton leads four area teams ranked and five others receiving votes in final boys AP statewide rankings

The final AP statewide rankings in boys basketball were released on Thursday and a pair of Mid-Illini squads received the highest rankings among teams in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area.

Morton, Metamora and Peoria all earned spots in the Class 3A top 10 while Manual jumped in the Class 2A rankings. Five other area teams received votes, including four who received a singular vote.
