Normal U-High girls hoops finding success, even with underclassmen-heavy roster

NORMAL — Some basketball teams look at being young as a reason to focus less on wins and losses or as an excuse to why they can’t compete in their conference.

But not Normal U-High. 

The Pioneers are one of the youngest teams in Central Illinois — eight of its 12 players are underclassmen — but have earned their best start in years through the first half of the season.
