BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington Central Catholic boys basketball is playing a rugged regular season schedule that head coach Jason Welch says is akin to ‘studying for the final exam.’

The Saints are preparing themselves for their end-of-the-year tests with a string of high-level opponents on their schedule. Eureka, Teutopolis, Quincy Notre Dame, Williamsville and Tri-Valley and four Bloomington-Normal Intercity foes are just some of the talented squads they’ve met so far.

Effingham St. Anthony, reigning Class 1A state champion Chicago Hope Academy, Normal U-High and all other Illini Prairie Conference contenders are still coming up.

But BCC has what every student wants: a key with the answers.

Junior point guard Ke’shaun Manney has electrified just about every gym he’s stepped in, proving himself to be one of the most unguardable and fun-to-watch players in Central Illinois.
