One more shot: Normal Community’s Reynolds looks to throw her way to state titles

NORMAL — Marco Reynolds is the one to beat for all girls shot put and discus throwers in Illinois.
With a month before the IHSA State Finals, the Normal Community standout holds the best marks of the season in Class 3A. That journey all started when she was a freshman, when throwing wasn’t even on her radar.
“It definitely took a lot of convincing [to do] because freshman year, I decided to do football workouts with the guys instead of throwing,” Reynolds said.
