Panthers aiming to perfect details while gearing up for playoff run

WASHINGTON — It only takes a few minutes of watching them play to find out that Washington girls basketball is a special group.
The Panthers are experienced both on paper and in big games. Many of their eight seniors have played big roles since their freshman years and led the team to a Class 3A third-place finish last year. Most of them will play at the collegiate level too.
In their final go-round, the group that’s been together since playing for the Washington Park District in their formative years is loading up the wagon for a potential return trip to state.
Now having known what it takes to get there, the Panthers are focused on the smallest of details that could end up making the biggest of differences in the postseason.
