Peoria High tabs McElmurry as interim boys basketball coach

PEORIA — Peoria High boys basketball assistant coach Ryan McElmurry will take over as the Lions’ head coach after previous head coach Daniel Ruffin was arrested on Monday for indecent solicitation.
District 150 spokeswoman Marjorie Kauth confirmed McElmurry’s appointment on Tuesday.
