The end of January proved to be a watershed moment for several boys basketball teams in Central Illinois.

If there was any doubt, there isn’t anything stopping Morton, East Peoria, Normal U-High or Peoria Christian. All four of those teams combined to go 42-3 in January and make up the upper echelon of CSM’s weekly boys basketball power rankings.

Others like Canton, Washington, Fieldcrest and Elmwood didn’t end their month how they wanted to with their own respective skids, but there’s still plenty of time to turn things around in the three weeks before the playoffs.

The week ahead features several games that could go a long way in determining conference titles as East Peoria faces Morton and Richwoods takes on Normal Community.

Check out how the best boys basketball teams in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area stack up below. Teams in the Mid-Illini and the Big 12 are part of the large school rankings while area schools from any other conference are in the small school rankings.
