Normal U-High, Cornerstone find success, momentum at Beecher Shootout

BEECHER — Central Illinois had its fair share of representation in the 8th annual Josh Baumgartner Shootout at Beecher High School.
Bloomington Cornerstone Christian and Normal U-High ascended eastward out of Bloomington-Normal into Will County, and both teams came out with big victories from the shootout.
Playing shorthanded was not a problem for Cornerstone in its win over Momence and Normal U-High’s Devin Fitzgerald could hit any shot anywhere in the Pioneers' thrashing of Chicago Heights Marian Catholic in the finale.
