A rainy start to April didn’t affect Normal Community and Normal U-High’s girls soccer teams, who both produced big wins in Intercity Tournament play to highlight Wednesday’s prep sports action in Central Illinois. Aubrey Balota finished with a hat trick for the Pioneers while Limestone’s Khloe Stear did the same and Peoria Notre Dame stayed unbeaten.
On the diamond, IVC and Washington had strong hitting performances to key double-digit wins while Canton and East Peoria baseball continued their spring break trips with games down south.
