The Roundup, April 22, 2026: East Peoria baseball hands Dunlap first conference loss, EPG and Fieldcrest complete comebacks with walk-off wins

Baseball took center stage on Wednesday and did not disappoint as East Peoria’s late run to beat Dunlap gave the Eagles their first conference loss and creating a four-way tie atop the conference after Morton and Washington both won.
El Paso-Gridley and Fieldcrest surmounted big late deficits with the odds stacked against them and both come back to win in dramatic fashion. Brimfield/Elmwood, Metamora, Tri-Valley and Washington all won in baseball and softball.
A pair of Illini Prairie Conference girls soccer teams were in action, as were several track and field and boys tennis teams.
